Terms of Service

These Terms govern your relationship with VITAMIN CREATIVE LAB LIMITED, the operator of Skino, when you access or use skino.ai and related Skino accounts, newsletters, submissions, saved shelves, comparison pages, and other features.

  • Skino provides beauty-product research and comparison information, not medical advice or a promise that a product will work for you.
  • You are responsible for your account, your submissions, and checking current product labels and retailer terms before acting on information.
  • Third-party advertising and affiliate links may support Skino, but they do not purchase or alter a comparison verdict.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using Skino, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use Skino for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

VITAMIN CREATIVE LAB LIMITED operates Skino and is the party entering into these Terms with you. Its registered and contact address is FLAT/RM 1602 16/F, PROGRESS COMMERCIAL BUILDING, 9 IRVING STREET, CAUSEWAY BAY HK.

2. What Skino provides

Skino is a beauty-product discovery and comparison service. It organizes product identity, ingredient information, formula signals, price context, retailer links, user-interest signals, AI-assisted explanations, advertising disclosures, and known differences.

Skino may add, remove, limit, or change features. Some information may be generated from public sources, licensed feeds, user submissions, service providers, or automated systems.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 to create an account or provide personal information to Skino. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use Skino only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms. Additional age restrictions may apply under local law.

4. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate information, keep access to your email account secure, and promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account unless applicable law says otherwise.

We may require verification, limit sessions, or suspend access to protect users and the service. You may request account closure by emailing partners@skino.ai.

5. Beauty information is not medical advice

Skino provides general informational and educational content. It does not provide medical, dermatological, allergy, diagnostic, treatment, or other professional advice. A similarity score or dupe label does not mean two products are identical, interchangeable, safe for every person, or expected to produce the same result.

Ingredients, formulas, prices, availability, claims, and packaging can change without notice. Check the current product label and official seller information before purchase or use. Consider patch testing and consult a qualified professional if you have allergies, a skin condition, are pregnant or nursing, use medication, or have another health concern.

6. Evidence, comparisons, and AI

Skino separates structured facts from AI-assisted explanations, but errors, missing context, stale data, and uncertain inferences can still occur. Scores and explanations are tools for research, not guarantees or objective scientific equivalence.

A dupe relationship is directional and product-specific. Shared ingredients, appearance, or marketing language alone do not establish that products are equivalent. Known differences and uncertainty should be considered with the rest of the evidence.

7. Advertising and affiliate links

Skino may receive compensation from third-party advertising, affiliate links, or retailer referrals. Programmatic ads appear only in separated advertising positions on eligible public pages and use the advertising provider's own labels and click area. Advertising does not purchase or alter Skino's comparison verdict, AI Overall Match, Ingredient Match, Attribute Match, evidence summary, or known differences.

Prices, inventory, shipping, returns, promotions, and purchase terms are set by third parties. Skino is not the seller unless a page expressly says otherwise.

8. User submissions

You may submit product names, brand names, product URLs, dupe targets, tags, and related information. You retain ownership of content you own. You grant Skino a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, review, verify, format, translate, adapt, publish, and use the submission to operate, improve, and promote the service.

You represent that your submission is accurate to the best of your knowledge, is lawful, does not contain confidential or sensitive personal information, and does not infringe another person's rights. We may reject, edit, remove, or decline to publish any submission.

9. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Use Skino for unlawful, deceptive, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity.
  • Submit malware, secrets, sensitive personal information, infringing material, fabricated evidence, or misleading product information.
  • Probe, bypass, disable, or interfere with authentication, rate limits, security controls, access restrictions, or service infrastructure.
  • Use automated access in a way that burdens the service, evades controls, or violates robots instructions, except with our written permission.
  • Copy, scrape, republish, or commercially exploit substantial parts of Skino or its data except as permitted by law or written agreement.
  • Impersonate another person, misrepresent affiliation, or use Skino to send unsolicited messages.

10. Intellectual property

Skino and its licensors own the service, software, design, branding, original editorial content, compilation, and other protected material, excluding user content and third-party names, trademarks, product information, and materials owned by their respective owners.

These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use Skino for personal or internal business research. They do not transfer ownership or grant a right to use Skino trademarks. Product and brand names belong to their respective owners, and their appearance does not imply endorsement.

11. Third-party services

Skino links to retailers, brands, affiliate partners, social networks, and other third-party services. We do not control their content, availability, security, privacy, pricing, or terms. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that third party's terms and policies.

12. Availability and changes

Skino may be unavailable, delayed, incomplete, or changed without notice. We may correct content, remove pages, change rankings, discontinue features, impose reasonable limits, or suspend the service. We do not promise that any page, account feature, product, price, or retailer link will remain available.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skino is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and quiet enjoyment. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for your needs.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so part of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits a mandatory consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skino, VITAMIN CREATIVE LAB LIMITED, its contributors, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or product purchases arising from or related to the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skino's total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid directly to Skino for the relevant service during the 12 months before the claim or USD 100. This limit does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Skino and VITAMIN CREATIVE LAB LIMITED from third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the service, your submission, or your material breach of these Terms. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from Skino's own conduct or where prohibited by law.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Skino at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a Terms violation, security risk, legal requirement, harm to another user, or material risk to the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, liability, and dispute-related provisions.

17. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as Skino changes. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Your continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them, except where law requires another form of consent.
